Rocking the Boat is a groundbreaking oral history that gives voice to the women who fought for their rights in the labor movement. These women faced discrimination and violence, but they never gave up on their dreams of a better life for themselves and their families.

The book is based on interviews with over 100 union women from across the United States. These women worked in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, garment, and service. They came from different backgrounds and had different experiences, but they were all united by their determination to fight for their rights.
