The story follows Anya, a city girl who is forced to spend the summer with her estranged grandfather in a remote mountain town. She's not happy about it, but she knows that she needs to get away from her life in the city and clear her head. Little does she know that she's about to meet the man who will turn her world upside down.

Jack is a mountain man through and through. He's rugged, handsome, and knows how to take care of himself. He's also not afraid to speak his mind, which can sometimes rub Anya the wrong way. But as they spend more time together, they start to see past their differences and realize that they have more in common than they thought.

Of course, there are obstacles in their way. Anya's grandfather doesn't approve of Jack, and Jack has a secret that could tear them apart. But if they can overcome these challenges, they'll find a love that is as wild and untamed as the mountains themselves.

This book is perfect for readers who love a good enemies to lovers story. It's also perfect for readers who love a strong mountain man hero and a feisty heroine. If you're looking for a steamy, romantic read that will keep you entertained from beginning to end, then you need to read this book.

Here's a sneak peek of the book:

Anya stepped out of the car and took a deep breath of fresh air. She was finally here, in the remote mountain town where her grandfather lived. She had been dreading this trip, but she knew that she needed to get away from her life in the city and clear her head.

As she made her way to the cabin, she couldn't help but notice the rugged beauty of the mountains. She had never seen anything like it before. It was so different from the concrete jungle she was used to.

When she arrived at the cabin, she was greeted by her grandfather. He was a tall, lean man with a weathered face and kind eyes. He hugged her tightly and welcomed her home.

Anya spent the next few days exploring the town and getting to know her grandfather. She also started to notice the handsome mountain man who lived next door. He was always outside, working on his cabin or chopping wood. He was the most ruggedly handsome man she had ever seen.

One day, Anya was walking through the woods when she came across the mountain man. He was sitting on a log, reading a book. She hesitated for a moment, but then she decided to introduce herself.

"Hi," she said. "I'm Anya."

The mountain man looked up from his book and smiled. "Hi," he said. "I'm Jack."

They talked for hours that day. Anya learned that Jack was a former Navy SEAL who had come to the mountains to find peace and quiet. He was a man of few words, but he had a kind heart and a wicked sense of humor.

As the days turned into weeks, Anya and Jack spent more and more time together. They went on hikes, fished in the river, and talked around the campfire. Anya started to see past Jack's rough exterior and realize that he was a good man. He was also very attracted to her, but he was hesitant to act on it. He knew that she was only in town for the summer, and he didn't want to get hurt.

But as the summer drew to a close, Anya realized that she had fallen in love with Jack. She didn't want to leave him, but she knew that she couldn't stay. She had a life back in the city, and she couldn't ask Jack to give up his mountain home.

On the day that Anya was leaving, she went to say goodbye to Jack. He was waiting for her on the porch, and he looked as heartbroken as she felt.

"I don't want you to go," he said.

"I don't want to go either," she said. "But I have to."

They stood there for a moment, looking into each other's eyes. Then, Jack leaned down and kissed her. It was a slow, deep kiss that left Anya breathless.

When they finally pulled away, Jack said, "I love you, Anya."

Anya smiled. "I love you too, Jack.

They knew that their love was forbidden, but they didn't care. They were determined to be together, no matter what.
