Eugène Sue The Mysteries Of Paris (Penguin Classics)

Eugène Sue (1804-1857) was a French novelist, playwright, and political activist. He is best known for his serialized novels, which were hugely popular in France and around the world during the 19th century. Sue's novels often explored social and political issues, and he was a vocal critic of the monarchy and the aristocracy.
