Dr. Ximena Ponce is a professor of political science at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. She is the author of several books on indigenous movements in Ecuador, including Indigenous Movements and Democracy in Ecuador: Struggles for Autonomy and Inclusion.
Dr. Carlos de la Torre is a professor of political science at the Universidad de los Andes. He is the author of several books on Ecuadorian politics, including The Politics of Social Movements in Ecuador: Indigenous and Afro-Ecuadorian Struggles for Inclusion.
